Dr. Vinay Jain, President

Dr. Vinay Jain is a board-certified medical oncologist with over 20 years of clinical practice. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio in 1987. Dr. Jain then completed a Fellowship in Medical Oncology in 1989 at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. He was the founder of Physician’s Education Resource (PER), the country’s leading Oncology Continuing Medical Education Company, which he successfully grew and sold in 2005. Dr. Jain is also the Founder and CEO of DAVA Oncology, LP, a profitable company dedicated to improving and accelerating cancer drug development by leveraging strategic insights and clinical expertise to prioritize oncology pipelines, uncover development opportunities, and accelerate trial enrollment. Additionally, Dr. Jain founded and is the current President and Chief Executive Officer of several other oncology-related companies, including Arog Pharmaceuticals, LLC; Mentrik Biotech, LLC; Oncology Knowledge Management, LLC; and Trimer Biotech, LLC. Dr. Jain currently holds the positions of President, Treasurer, and Director of Jiv Daya Foundation, a Dallas-based 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, which he founded in 2002.

Kanika Jain, vice presidence

Kanika Jain received an MS degree in Engineering Management from George Washington University and a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University. She worked as an engineer for Computer Sciences Corporation and for Mitre Corporation. Kanika Jain has held the positions of Vice-President, Secretary, and Director of Jiv Daya Foundation since 2002. 

She and Dr. Jain decided to create Shraman Foundation after realizing there was a need for such a resource in Dallas. 

Dr. Yash Paul Virmani, Volunteer Director

Yash Paul Virmani received a PhD from the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in India and completed post-doctoral studies at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He is a former research scientist in Lawrence, KS for the State of Kansas. Since 1982, he has been a Senior Scientist and Corrosion Specialist with the Federal Highway Administration. Yash Paul Virmani also currently holds the position of Director of Jiv Daya Foundation, which he has held since 2004.
